From Bedford Row Capital to Bluemount Capital Global Fraud, the journey of Scott Levy and Stuart Gordon.

In February 2016, two individuals, Scott Levy and Stuart Gordon, incorporated a financial services company, Bedford Row Capital Plc, with the aid of Alper Deniz, a lawyer from London-based Keystone Law. What initially appeared to be a legitimate financial services company soon unraveled into one of the largest fraudulent financial schemes in recent times.

Bedford Row Capital operated for less than a decade but left behind a trail of devastation. Through over 30 fraudulent bond schemes, Levy and Gordon defrauded hundreds of unsuspecting investors, siphoning off billions of pounds. Their victims were primarily expats and retirees—people seeking safe, high-return investments but instead caught in a web of lies. By June 2024, as investigations began closing in, Stuart Gordon placed Bedford Row Capital into administration, a move designed to prevent a deeper regulatory investigation into their activities.

While Bedford Row Capital crumbled, the fraudsters were already preparing their next move. In February 2024, they established a new entity: Bluemount Capital, a company with a registered capital of just £2. Now, they are turning their attention toward Australia, targeting a new, unsuspecting market.

Despite Bluemount Capital’s claims of being regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the truth is more convoluted. They operate under the umbrella of Nextec Corporation, a licensed entity, but Bluemount itself is not directly regulated. This means that if Bluemount engages in any fraudulent activity, investors will find themselves powerless, with no recourse to appropriate regulatory bodies, including ASIC.

This loophole allowed Levy and Gordon to successfully execute their previous schemes, leaving their victims stranded and without recourse. The same troubling patterns and red flags are already emerging in their new venture. As Bluemount Capital expands into the Australian market, it brings with it the same deceptive practices that caused financial ruin to countless investors through Bedford Row Capital.

Investors must be cautious and vigilant. The past frauds of Scott Levy and Stuart Gordon are a stark reminder of how seemingly legitimate companies can wreak financial havoc. Today, they may operate under a new name, but the game remains the same, and victims remain at risk of falling prey to these seasoned fraudsters.
